I have been having more and more requests for newer Fords, and finding less 70’s Fords worth buying. They have been selling well, so I went looking for another, and here is what I came up with. This is an unbelievable low mile survivor. It is a 1989 F250, with the Top-of-the-Line Lariat trim. It is 100% rustfree from out west, has a very straight body, and still has most of it’s original paint. We did have the silver on the sides repainted because the original paint had all came off. It is only has 67k actual miles. It is fully loaded and features a strong fuel injected 460, and a nice shifting 5 speed manual with overdrive, Cold A/C, Tilt, Cruise, Dana 50 front axle, Sterling rear with nice 3.55 gears, dual tanks, etc.
We also added a leaf spring to the front to level the truck out. This truck hasn’t been cut on or worked to death. It drives nice. The brakes, and suspension are sound. It has nice but older BFG 235/85/16 tires.
The interior is near mint, and expected to be that clean with this low of miles. The seat, carpet and pedal pads are all original still. It also has the factory tachometer, and working original radio. The inside of the bed hardly has a dent in it. Just some scratches from normal use. Adding the leaf spring to the front caused the tires to tilt out a little in the front, “positive camber”. It should settle to level once driven some.
This is a one of a kind survivor. There aren’t many like this one left out there.
