1998 Dodge RAM 1500 short bed. This is a cool original 100% Rustfree California survivor in forestry and parks service green. It is a nice simple, low mileage 4×4. It only has 143k miles. It has just the options you need: a smooth strong 5.2L “318” Magnum, nice shifting overdrive automatic, Cold A/C, Tilt, Cruise, and a nice sounding AM/FM/CD factory stereo. It has the simple and desirable manually shifted transfer case, and limited slip “posi” rear, with nice 3.55 gears.
The interior is clean and original. We installed a new headliner, and seat cover. The seat sits fine, but the vinyl had some splitting, so we put the seat cover on. The body is 100% rustfree, but does have some dents and dings on the bed. I’m sure the truck could tell a story. It has nice factory 16″ rally wheels with like new stock sized tires. These were the last of the true straight axles trucks and had the bullet proof Dana 44 front axle.
Bottom line this is a nice simple Second Gen Dodge 4×4 that is ready to be used and enjoyed.
